The first weekend in December is always very special here in Sealy when our community holds its highly anticipated 23rd Annual Fantasy of Lights Celebration. The entire community comes together to celebrate the Christmas season with visitors from all over Texas.

The Sealy Fantasy of Lights is a community-wide event organized by the Sealy Community Foundation (SCF) whose main purpose is for the advancement of education and charity. We hope to create more opportunities for non-profit organizations to utilize fund-raising efforts at the local festivals, Sealybration and Fantasy of Lights. The proceeds generated by the SCF will be donated to various Sealy charities and used for Sealy High School senior scholarships.

This year, our weekend long event is packed with fun for people of all ages! We’ll kick off the 2009 Fantasy of Lights down at the B&PW Park with a sanctioned BBQ Cook-off, opening pitch of the softball tournament, bean bag tournament, free dance and more. Saturday’s events will continue with the softball tournament and BBQ Cook-Off plus other events held at Levine Park including arts and crafts booths, carnival for kids, holiday entertainment throughout the day, home tours and much more. The top attractions include a real snowfall at 3pm and a huge lighted parade beginning at 6pm. It is a must see!
