On July 10-12, 2009, the City of Sealy will be welcoming back the return of a local- favorite, the Sealybration. This multi-day event organized by the newly established non-profit, Sealy Community Foundation (SCF), is a family-oriented festival with activities for all ages. Friday morning will kick off with a Barbeque Cook-off sanctioned by the Lone Star Barbeque Society followed by the opening pitch at 6:00pm for the softball tournament. The night will end with a free concert with the crowd pleasing sounds of Southbound 955 out of Fayetteville, TX.

 

Saturday’s events will commence at 10:00am with the opening of the arts and crafts booths, continuation of the softball tournament and bbq cook-off. The food and drink stands and children’s activities, all are sponsored and operated by local non-profit organizations, will be open. Live music will be played throughout the day, ending the night by featuring Texas Music artists Django Walker and Aaron Watson. 

 

The Sealybration will come to a close on Sunday with final games of the softball tournament, arts and crafts booths open for last-minute shoppers and kids activities for those who are visiting for the first time or who want to have one more fun day in the sun.

 

Admission:

Friday – Free

Saturday – $5.00 before 5:00pm (Children under 12 and adults over 65 are free) $15.00 after 5:00pm

Sunday – Free

Sealybration LOGO Contest:
This year, we will be holding a community-wide Sealybration logo contest. Turn in your artistic entry at the designation turn-in site during the festival weekend of what you think the logo should look like for your chance to win a prize!
